Professional Leadership Development
ILR turns students into future professional leaders. A big part of this growth takes place during our professional development sessions. During these sessions we will teach you not only how to stand out enough to get a job, but how to succeed once you do. The skills are worked on throughout the semester in the following sessions.
Presentation skills:
Gain valuable public speaking skills though instruction from award winning public speakers and ample oportunities to practice in front of an enthusiastic audience. Public speaking, and presenting are some of the most sought after skills by recruiters across the board. Get that leg up through our training program! Please see the calender for the training date.
Resume Workshop:
For those who are making a resume for the first time, and for those who have had one for the last five years, we have valuable industry insite to offer you! We bring in recruiters from top companies who have seen thousands of resumes to tell you what stands out! In addition to unique advice, we will assign someone to personally look at your resume to make sure it presents you in the best way possible.
Interview Skills:
The point of a resume is to make you stand out enough to get an interview, but how do you seal the deal once you're in that interview? We'll teach you how to succeed at what you do every step of the way and the interview is no different. In ILR we bring in seasoned interviewers and interviewees to discuss the process from both sides. Together they will prepare you for even the toughest question!
